Leather Jackets dead on May 28th
 

New uniform standards came out in a PB. "Leather jackets are not an approved uniform item."

Our uniform committee gave up leather jackets and in exchange we got ... nothing?

I’m sorry to hear that. For the record I’ve never in my career worn one but I think people should have a right to wear it.

I really dislike this whole clinging to the white shoe image in our uniform policy. Hats are unnecessary. If you want to wear one great, but totally unnecessary. Needs to be optional. I’m thinking of joining the Uniform committee for that sole purpose, my life’s work!
Why no sweater option??? Which pretty much every other airline has?…….including as I recall Continental.

Ehh, been here almost 15 years. I’ve worn a tasteful patriot tie every day for 14 years. Never been approached by anyone. Uniform police might be out for the first month or two after the changeover, after that pretty much wear what you want.

The sweater makes the leather bomber jacket look fashionable. We’d look like overweight Mr Rogers trying to grow a mustache.
