The crew update just said 14 gates and IAD would have double the International capacity. So assumed those were all WB gates. Bottom line is we have plenty of places to pard planes, especially since the planes are probably in the air more than they are on the ground and can be towed on and off gate.

2030?! talk about being behind the WB timeline. The Rev from pax and Cargo is astronomical right now. They should have made this move YEARS ago.

Yep, Delta has a “big” order for 30 in 2031.
We’ll be getting that many in the next year and 1/2!

Ya, I think it stems from our stubbornness over the MRO deal. From what I've heard, that was a make or break item for these 787s.

They’ve been taking deliveries of A350s and A330NEOs for a while now, so it’s not like they they haven’t been getting new wide bodies.

We have have over 200 787s before they get their first, but still its great for them because its upgauging their current 767s and means they will have WB planes well into the future, even though most of my peers will have retired before the first plane arrives.

So are they growth or just replacements? Either way good for the Amex flying team.
