Time to start the betting pool on the most junior systemwide NBCA and WBFO awarded in this vacancy. I'll say 15XXX numbers for NBCA and 14XXX for WBFO.

Not a bad guess. I’ll go a step further and throw a bet in for WBCA - 2XXX.

You think it'll go that senior?

There really aren’t a whole lot of them and it was implied by CR that there may not be a lot of vacancy bids outside of a large annual one going forward. So, there could be a level of FOMO to some of the senior groups. I very well could be wrong though. Everything the last few years has been pretty off the wall and unpredictable. So, everything is nothing more than a WAG.

pardon my ignorance but based on the MIN/MAX numbers and the deliveries coming and the projected hiring of 2000-2500 Doesn't this Vacancy only cover 800 or so of the 2500 they are targeting for 2026? So maybe not as large but we can expect consistent smaller ones?
no moment all go unfilled and now you have white classes |

About a month ago crew resources had an update that implied this might be the only vacancy until next year. Shortly after, they sent out a message clarifying that there would be more, but they seemed to be aiming for more consolidation of the bids rather than the monthly bids of the last few years. Before, bids were happening every month and most people just put off bidding up as they simply assumed it would be there next month. Then industry and economic events happened which slowed the vacancy bids. That was combined with a new contract that improved reserve rules and things began shifting more towards more uncertainty to how things would be going forward. Many people have stopped putting off vacancies based on assumptions and began bidding for what they want when the opportunity becomes available. |

There will undoubtedly have to be others going forward, but when and how many is the wild card that took us from unfilled NBCA and WBFO vacancies to the complete other side of the pendulum with unusually ultra-senior awards in those categories.

This 100 pct. If one more OAL pilot asks me "hey if I come to United can I be a street captain" I'm going to lose it...

Not to mention that we never actually had “street captains”. I had to explain that one a million times to people too.
