Approximately how long to hold 787 FO?
whats reserve like, called often, or pretty quiet?
are trips generally pretty commutable?
my ultimate goal is to get a 787 fo slot, and sit on a quiet reserve working as little as possible on min guarantee, is this a realistic possibility or a pipe dream?

Widebody reserve is GENERALLY less chaotic than NB because the typical 2 leg trip structure is much more stable than NB work.
As for "how long to hold" - fundamentally wrong question. It's what % company seniority to hold. That metric tends to be pretty stable. How long to get to that point swings wildly. Recent awards have landed around 65%, or about 6000 off the bottom. That's about 10 years of retirements. General airline growth, 787 fleet growth, 756 retirement will likely see 2026 hires in ORD 787 before 2036.

There’s been like 2 or 3 12,000+ seniority numbers who got 78ORDFO the past 2 or 3 vacancy bids, which are right at 4 years on property.
