believe DAL + 1 is way too low based on the DAL+NWA model info and they could get a new contract in 1 year after we sign a new JCBA.
I'm not saying DAL + 1, I'm saying we should get the same % raise that Delta got when they merged. In other words, the pay raise from what Delta pilots made in 2007 to what they made in 2008 after the merger. Does anyone know approximately what the raise was?

I honestly couldn't care less about what percentage raise Delta got! WE should get as much as we can wring out of their asses. We're not Delta, American, Southwest, etc... We are UAL/CAL ALPA and we are sitting in a unique (in a GOOD way) position -- we must take advantage of it!

FWIW, my vote will hinge on much more than our pay.

Amen! Pay rates mean nothing if the flying is outsourced or you are at work all the time and can't enjoy any of your earnings.

Sure, there's plenty of guilt to go around but that side letter was HUGE. The rest of us had ZERO say in the matter.

Of course, none of that matters now. But it is a salient point to consider when voting on the upcoming contract.
The E170 was another subject. And I do agree with you.

Whiteferg got an ear full from me on that subject while sitting on the jumpseat.

Most pathetic individual I have ever met.

How much do you sell your sole for, or other pilots for......when you have tunnel vision on the A Plan. We all know that answer.

The E170 just took the scope latitude to a new level. Now there was a plane that actually approached mainline comfort. One of the bigger mistakes.

Righting that mistake will not be easy along with all the other scope provisions. It will take negotiating capital to the nth degree.

I'll be curious to see the final JCBA.

You know Chris Clueless, it never ceases to amaze me. I'm sure by now you're a grown man/woman, educated enough to know when to shuttophuckup. You mean to tell me you come on here with your big proposal but have no clue what the % that so delights you might be? If DAL/NWA merger was done in today's economics we can be certain that their CBA would look a whole lot different than it does now. What do you think they will negotiate for next year? DAL +1 + $1?

Food for thought...Maybe you should begin your post with the end of your last quote. A QUESTION!!

I'm about halfway up the list in DC and had 737/320 Capt seniority from 2006-2009 (most recently...). FWIW, I'm still very close to 320 Capt seniority in DC (if they ever posted bids...)
Yeah I guess you are technically correct. Except that at UAl the 767/757 don't pay like a widebody should. I was referring to the 777/400 fleet (Which I've also been surplussed off of several times) when I was speaking of the F/O seniority issue.

He'll be paying dues soon enough. The new UAL is based in Chicago. IL is not a right to work state. If you don't pay your dues, you will be terminated. Period. Dot.

We've heard that same song and dance at CAL, but the "pilots" (if you can call them that), who don't pay ALPA dues, end up paying some type of fee that allows them to remain on property. Funny thing is though, is that they BRAG about not being members and find it humorous that nothing can be done to them.

Good luck to them at UAL, we post their status in ops on the ALPA board along with scabs. They will be treated by most (not all ) as scabs. Ask ours its a miserable way to live at UAL. Most pilots will at best simply do their jobs on the flight deck with them and nothing more. No eating with, drinking with, socializing with, talking to , no helping, its pretty bad, on occasion I almost feel sorry for them.
