believe DAL + 1 is way too low based on the DAL+NWA model info and they could get a new contract in 1 year after we sign a new JCBA.

From: 18%er but I’ll enforce UPA23 to the last period.
I honestly couldn't care less about what percentage raise Delta got! WE should get as much as we can wring out of their asses. We're not Delta, American, Southwest, etc... We are UAL/CAL ALPA and we are sitting in a unique (in a GOOD way) position -- we must take advantage of it!

If I'm not mistaken, the EMB 170 give away was accomplished by one man. My guess is that the whiteford side letter allowed the company to park the Guppies because I don't think that UAL would have had the lift to park the fleet without that letter.
Sure, there's plenty of guilt to go around but that side letter was HUGE. The rest of us had ZERO say in the matter.
Of course, none of that matters now. But it is a salient point to consider when voting on the upcoming contract.

Whiteferg got an ear full from me on that subject while sitting on the jumpseat.
Most pathetic individual I have ever met.
How much do you sell your sole for, or other pilots for......when you have tunnel vision on the A Plan. We all know that answer.
The E170 just took the scope latitude to a new level. Now there was a plane that actually approached mainline comfort. One of the bigger mistakes.
Righting that mistake will not be easy along with all the other scope provisions. It will take negotiating capital to the nth degree.
I'll be curious to see the final JCBA.

Food for thought...Maybe you should begin your post with the end of your last quote. A QUESTION!!

I'm a 767 f/o and consider myself a widebody f/o.... Did you exclude it from the widebody category by mistake?
I'm about halfway up the list in DC and had 737/320 Capt seniority from 2006-2009 (most recently...). FWIW, I'm still very close to 320 Capt seniority in DC (if they ever posted bids...)

He'll be paying dues soon enough. The new UAL is based in Chicago. IL is not a right to work state. If you don't pay your dues, you will be terminated. Period. Dot.

We've heard that same song and dance at CAL, but the "pilots" (if you can call them that), who don't pay ALPA dues, end up paying some type of fee that allows them to remain on property. Funny thing is though, is that they BRAG about not being members and find it humorous that nothing can be done to them.
