You are correct. They are not flying each others a/c or flying with mixed crews, BUT the FAA gave them a Single Operating Certificate anyway!!

Ha ha. Actually we do. Airline management, TSA and excessive blank check security costs have cut into pilot wages big time (remember the stupid pie theory?). In my opinion management's slice of the pie has killed more than a few airlines, but I know you know that and yes, why should the finger be pointed at pilots?
