Thanks Sled....
This is something WE ALL can agree/back together. Hope to see some UAL guys/gals who reside locally. We also have the IAH event tomorrow (23rd-Tue), any local UAL pilots much welcomed and appreciated.
See you in ORD on the 1st!!

Pardon my lack of information, but what is the picketing attempting to tell the travelling public? I've been out of the loop in the US and am curious as to what this action is attempting to convey.

To everyone who showed up in EWR this morning, a huge "Thank You"! The turn out appeared to be a STRONG showing, and the support from ALL carrier's present was appreciated and very much noticed.
****Remember****CAL is also having the same type of assembly tomorrow (Tues Nov 23rd) in IAH. Pilots outside of CAL/UAL who reside within the Houston area are encouraged to come out and show your support as well.
Thanks to everyone for their time/support.

Fellow Cal 171 brothers and sisters:
Today in EWR we had approximately 350 fellow pilots picket against the outsourcing of our jobs and careers. It was reported that the police were call to disband the group as they were forming for a photo. My hat is off to all who volunteered their time to show support.
Houston, now it is our turn to show management, the public, the media, Wall Street, our Board of Directors, and Washington that we are willing to fight for our jobs and our families’ futures. Tomorrow, the briefing will begin at 1030 at the MEC offices. Picketing will last until around 1300. If you are off, please donate a few hours for all of our futures. If you are on sit time and can give even 30 min, we need your help. You can read more about today’s success at the link below.
As always, Fly Smart and Fly safe.

A BIG thanks to the CAL flight attendant and AA pilot who also marched with us today. In addition to the CAL pilots, several (probably 20 or so) UAL pilots joined us, so we were well represented. Although we were not allowed to take a group photo, several of the NJ airport police showed their support for us and told us how proud they were to see us doing this! It was nice to see everyone put their differences aside and march for a common goal! Thanks again to everyone who showed up!!

Mainly to protest UCAL mgmt. violation of CAL's scope, 70 seaters in IAH UAX flights coded as CAL fights. The bigger picture is to end most if not ALL outsourcing of Mainline UCAL flying to include Aer Fungus and 51+ seat flying. Make no mistake this flying will be brought in-house in this JCBA. We have no other choice but to fall on the sword if necessary.

I don't know how realistic that expectation truly is, but I applaud your efforts none-the-less. I believe the old UAL built a 70-seat virtual empire of cheap labor that will be hard to legally repeal. Best of luck, as it appears that you are the last major to take a stand to this toxic trend. How strong the stand is yet to be seen and will depend soley upon your members and their will.

Canam, I know the stroke of a pen won't instantly end existing contracts with FFD carriers, but they will be phased out over a few years as this flying is brought back to mainline in 90-120 seat planes, flown by UCAL mainline pilots. The 70 seaters of today at UAL will fade away or go to other legacy "express" carriers until mainline plots at DAL, AA, USAir, learn the hard lesson of scope, that we at UAL have lived for the last decade.
