Default Cal vrf

does anyone know what criteria CAL uses to create VRF, voluntary reduced flying? Just wondering why they have VRF and junior manning at the same time?

I wonder the same. It must save them money, but I'm not sure how. I guess instead of paying 2 people 100% each, they are paying 1 person 150%. that's a savings of 50%!?

The formula is probably sitting on the shelf right next to the widget that "Fred" used to shift the IAH flying up to EWR last year.....the move that worked 'oh, so well'.

When you crack the code, let us know.

From the PBS implementation LOA...
In any month where the LPA is equal to or less than eighty hours (80:00), VRF will be offered.

A lot of times, they're contractually required to offer VRFs, but don't actually grant any requests.
