No calls yet as they are trying to figure out what to do if guys bypass because of the Guam slots. Make them wait 30 days or put them back in the next class if they want to.

DR, a guess or fact? Someone else posted the delay had to due with Mil LOA. I had gotten an email Tuesday saying there was one issue left to be resolved.

Who answered that?

My mistake. When I asked about bypassing if Guam was going to be your base was told that you could send your 30 day notice to them and would likely be eligible for the next class. That was only for the first class since they expect it to go along way down the list to get 8 volunteers. FWIW

date Thu, Aug 4, 2011 at 8:11 AM subject Update - CO New Hire Opportunity Fellow Furloughees, As many of you are aware the phone calls have not started. We have been working several logistical internal issues that have slowed down the process. We are still looking at an October 4th start date for the first class and this slight delay will only compress our internal process to achieve that date. As a point of clarification, the phone calls we will make will not be the official offer. The phone calls are meant to give you a heads up that your seniority number falls within the range that could be offered a class date. We will inform you about the process, what to expect and answer questions you might have. We will give you as much information as possible so you may make the best decision you can about this opportunity. I truly believed we were going to be in a position to make the phone calls this week but it is better to get these issues resolved so we can begin the process the right way. I will email you all once the phone calls have begun. Sincerely, Ted McCaughan Furlough Coordinator, Flight Operations United | 233 S. Wacker Drive, 23rd Floor – WHQFO | Chicago, IL 60606 Tel. 872 825 9416 | [email protected] |
Sad we are starting week 4 (14 Jul) since the hiring announcement and they still can't announce the process. Reading the other posts about UAL/CO guess it shouldn't be a surprise.
