You and I know this and many other excruciating details. Investors could care less. They open the paper and see SWA has already solved their "pilot issue" whereas UAL has pics in paper of pilots plastering management doors with "NO" on the contract proposal. "Hey Jeff, what's up with that?"

Egggsactly... executives don't get fired, they leave to spend more time with their families... ....with of course a severance package that will water your eyes.

On the airliners.net website, there is a post on the thread about this same thing from all people, Julie King. She is the head of corporate communication for the new UAL. Her quote,

Does make you wonder how much many of the forums out there she or her underlings read on a daily basis. I guess we possibly will know tomorrow. I can't imagine that something this big would go by the wayside and this little peep is all anyone hears, especially since this has the ability to impact the company, it stock, and it's employees. If he leaves, who will step in? GT?
