"“If I give the pilots a big contract, there will be no money for the other employee groups.” Leading by example is always a good idea. Our CEO is the most highly paid in the industry, and we are not asking for anything more than an industry leading contract. Our CEO’s contract, his alone, is 40 pages long and his housing allowance is about equal to the pay of our senior captains. What, did he say fair to the company and fair to the employees?"
Don't know where this came from but, maybe it's time for our keyboard hero's to tune-up Jeff Smisick a little.

I thought it was Wallach, but I guess all he did was give us hat's OFF and hat's ON and did he pull down trip trading to get us something worst? Still trying to figure out what else he did while in office.

No you are correct - He is the guy that caused this and the Court Order has basically tied the hands of the current MEC chair. I understand it will be in effect after the MEC's merge.

**** were never quite smart enough to figure out what the hat switch was really about (hint: it wasn't about the hat). And the trip trading system is no worse than it was before. The trip splitting piece may even benefit a few pilots.
UAL saw that the natives were getting very restless, and used the small (statistically insignificant) bump in SL usage that occurred after the 737 fleet parking/furlough announcements to get the judge to believe their BS case.

Actually,a trip into Federal Court is one great way to settle a disagreement. Our legal system is one that is strictly based NOT on what's wrong or right, or fact vs fiction but rather a system that simply rewards the best argument (plaintiff vs defendant). Wallach and friends walk into the arena contending the company didn't have a case so why present an aggresssive defense. "It couldn't be a union organized action when only the junior guys were participating" Should be real simple to defend, right? Pilot naivety at it's finest. Lots of bark but soft teeth. The company's won with fabrication and spin and all Wallach could musters was to stand there with his pants waist at his knee and a noose around his neck.
