I'm sure though that the company will find a way to blame the union in the press. "We are trying to increase our staffing, but the furloughed United pilots are not responding to the job offers in the manner we had hoped in order to alleviate these problems."
And in turn the union should respond, " due to the low wages and poor working conditions offered, most have found better pay and benefits elsewhere."

But I agree. There will be some company spin on this.

Default Numbers????

Now that we're half-way through the "Do I have a deal for you VJM", anyone have a barometer as to the amount of 'takers' this time around in 737 Land??

That is a pathetic testimony to the spine of those pilots. They must love their current contract! SAVE THE COMPANY!!!!! Please sir may I have another!

Amoebas.

The Captains who get them as FO's should fly all the legs and give them the treatment they deserve.

No, since these guys are so proficient in the right seat they should fly ALL the legs and if they're not dead-on the new stabilized approach criteria, they can fly all the go-arounds as well. Then make sure they're prominently featured in an ASAP report.

I am not accepting any Right Seat assignments, BUT nothing wrong with a good go-around. We do get paid by the minute and I certainly have no problem calling for a go-around if some HERO in the right seat is not proficient enough to make a standard approach.

There are about 7 trips in 737 iah/fo open time, all of them suck and no reserves for tuesday. Some of them are bad enough that I can't imagine people taking these even if they offerred double time. I'm on reserve and they're calling me about junior manning, yeah like the current reserve schedule isn't hellious enough already.
