Be very careful assuming all emp #'s ending in alpha are 1983 or later...John Prater's ends in "L"...nnnnL. The common perception of the "rule" is not absolutely correct.

Please tell me I didn't let a scab on my J/S. If I did ... shame on me and can someone please direct me to the CA Scab list.

Much obliged!
Yep, per the Master List, CONFIRMED.

The Capt mentioned above who rode your J/S is a CAL '83 SCAB presently based in the above mentioned base.

I thought all L-UAL Capt's carried a bound list right long side their manuals......No??

Word to the wise.....IF your going to go by the "Letter Rule" in a L-CAL Employee number to denote who is/or is not a S*C*A*B, you best know what/who your talking to. As mentioned earlier, that "Letter Rule" does not always apply exclusively to "S"s. You'd look like a j-a$$ tossing out that "S" word in the direction of a NON-"S" at L-CAL.....Might even receive a little chin music by some of the wrongfully accused if you get my drift.

Speak with some of your L-UAL brethren and get hold of a copy....You'll need it in the future. UNFORTUNATELY there are plenty about on both sides from this Merger.

Give me a few days to get home and I'll upload it to a file sharing site and post a link.

Unless its not allowed, in which case I won't.

Yes, some of the Alphabetical Number pilots were hired after the strike before the change over to numbers. Some are old Frontier pilots as well. It can be confusing...generally it is true but nothing is absolute.

Can't wait to get my iPad and start messing around with it. I suspect there's a way to alphabetize things and have them quickly accessible. Sorta like the index in the FOM and other vital info. Shopping list, grocery list, Christmas list, Hardware store list......

FYI.....If your inferring to the above mentioned "list", the Master S-List is already in an alphabetized layout. No need for the iPad techno ability.
Don't sweat it.

My little Yellow Book has UAL Scabs and my copied pages have EAL Scabs but I don't have a Master List of all airlines in one document. That would be nice to have!
