Bad thing will be "no paid moves" because of another side deal to get around pilots ratifcation from our MEC's. These guys are getting as bad as management.

Bid is out and no reduction in the number of 737 pilots in any current 737 base. Only additions to GUM, LAX, and creation of ORD and DEN 737 bases.

It probably needs repeating again...there are no reductions in any base...that means hiring.

Or 90 hour lines and lots of open time... Probably both. In as much as it's going to brutal summer for us on reserve; unfortunately worse for the L-CAL folks, this IS a good thing. No Shrinkage (sic) |

IF L-CAL goes ALL the way through the L-UA Furlough List offering positions to the entire roster ("takers" and "bypassers") per the guidelines.....IF seats still need to be filled per staffing, and there's NO more 'takers' from L-UA, you can fully expect them (Abbott) to hire off the street. Questions? Stating the obvious.....No one is holding a gun to anyone's head as far as accepting/declining the L-CAL Pilot Position. The L-CAL employment offers have NO bearing on the Furloughee's status at L-UA. Their choice to take it, or leave it as far as the L-CAL employment offer. |
