Default Buddy Pass and Service Charge Calculator

A family member has asked me about buddy passes to an international destination. Under the old system (weblist), I could find a service charge calculator on skynet (ominous Terminator music, maestro).

Now, with EmployeeRes, I can find policy letters, but not an actual calculator. Anyone know if there still is one? If not, ballpark numbers per pass to Europe from the east coast?

And, do the passes work on UAx? I don't think so, and got tired of chasing links to research it.

My advice was it was risky from a full-load perspective, and I believed at best the tickets were about 50% of actual prices (not the unrestricted fare stuff quoted in the policy letter). Just wanted to back up my advice with fact and research.

Not sure if you are aware that when you list someone on EmployeeRes, in one of the final stages of confirming the listing, you are given a "charge" for the flight. They ask for a credit card or opt for "Payroll deduct", but that is how I figure out how much buddy passes cost. Where it can be a bit of a hassle is if you have more than one person on the listing, because the charges aren't line-item. But you can still figure it out by single listing your buddy.

To answer your second question, recently, my brother came to visit and he flew on Skywest so buddy passes do work on UAx.

There is a pass calculator under "quick links" which is located directly under flight search. When quick links is selected, the pass calculator is on the bottom.

Default Thanks!

Guys, thanks for the words, and SKMarz, I never would have found that link if you hadn't told me.

No problem, I had to track it down myself a couple of weeks ago, it wasn't easy to find.

Also, When you are booking travel and the page that shows the cost for each traveler has the letter "i" in a small blue circle right next to the price. Put the cursor over that and click. It will show the break down charges.
