I am in full agreement with you. If each voting Pilot has not "figured it out" by now as far as casting their die in which to support the cause, those individuals are a most likely a "lost cause".
The collective Pilot Group has had a front-row seat to the company's buffoonery from the start. To refresh, the M.A.D. was May, 2010....If 24+months is not long enough for Jeff/Fred to get their a$$ in gear concerning our JCBA, then I would hope that this vote would further bolster the NMB's decision to honor the UAL/CAL MEC's request to move forward with the process.....Game on.
BTW: T-Minus 4 Days.

IF you looked at the Master List, there was/is less than 2,000 named S*C*A*B*s at CAL to begin with regarding the "83--->" strike. The Master List has NOT been updated in a long while, thus several of those named are not even on property anymore..... "med-outs", retirements, and just plain 'getting dead' has fleeced the flock at L-CAL. I do agree, ONE is too many.....but your inflated numbers are far from accurate.
But since you brought it up, the last "Clown Standing" will be Capt M.N., set to let the door hit his butt on 05/19/2028.

I did a count a few years back. There were 800. Add the United scabs and we get a number that is too big. We will lose a lot starting next year. It's easy to vote yes for a strike- not crossing will be another matter. I hope some have learned their lesson, but I doubt it. Crossing was a good idea and it worked. They are senior pilots making money. Nothing bad happened to them. ALPA forgave them!? What are we teaching the younger pilots with this example? It really bugs me that scabs are successful.

Not sure this is exactly correct. My understanding is that the CAL pilot group allowed them into the old CAL union/group. Then, when CAL joined ALPA there is something in the bylaws which allowed any current "member" of CAL's group into ALPA when that occurred.
Semantics perhaps, but worth repeating.
There was a good explanation on the other forum regarding this issue.
Effin Scabs. They won't get such a rosy welcome when paired with LUAL types.

Why don't you let the UCAL ALPA determine the definition of struck work.

Will ALPA/Moak step up and quit playing both sides of the fence when/if the 31st day is upon us, assuming the Release is granted?? (IE- UAL Flying - vs - Outsourced ALPA Carriers - In this case, Regional Feed).
It will be a defining moment for ALPA Nat'l if this goes through...."You're not going to have your cake and eat it too"
