Mesaba flies 900's. Republic/et al flies the 170. Compass flies the 170. Size/Weight doesn't matter unless it's specifically addressed in the scope clause.

I've seen some contracts where, in theory, management could fly 747s at a regional if they limited the seats to 50 seats or less.

 

Like I said b4, scope is a thing of the past management will fly these planes regardless of your scope clause e.g. 70 seat a/c sitting in EWR in CAL colors. Alliances will be flying 100+ seat a/c in the US within the next five years. You scope A/C when your real threat is the alliances.

My advice to you take the cash because this fight is over and UAL seems content to turn you guys into the next USAir. Trust me im not advocating this its just our future. You guys have Delta ALPA working against you so you think there gonna go back to them with your 50 seat scope when they just rolled on 76?

You accuse me of not putting up a fight, guys we don't have the fortitude amongst us. We have four different pilot agenda working against us i.e. New Hire full if **** and vinegar, Line Holders content and stable with there seniority, Broke or Bankrupted who will do anything to bring home cash regardless who it hurts, and the retiring soon who could give an F about u or I, only there cash position and how to maximize it. Can u blame them what they been through and now what were going through.

51% is all that's required and u and I will have to live with that reality...so keep up the good fight its commendable but hopeless. As I said Delta MEC sealed the 76 seat a/c and I would bet my left nut that's what UAL will sing off on.
