Thanks for you're effort in the lengthy response but, in the end, that is social engineering at it's best. As for the $400 extra large, that can be housed some place warm and dark.

Question for the sUA guys. When was the last time your MEC actually used the term "Retro Pay" in an official communication? It's crystal clear that pure retro is not what is being divvied up here, and was curious when the ALPA's stopped bandying that term around in favor of "signing bonus."

Trust me 47, in no way am I trying to defend alpa. They have been corrupt for a long time. But to say the money to pay any "retro" should come from alpa is nonsensical at best.

Yes there is a meeting room near the airport in Houston that would make an excellent venue for union meetings, as well as ample hotel space. Unfortunately, because of the nature of the organization, the lavish boondoggles these clowns put on will continue.

So a junior guppy f/o gets the same as 400 capt? I think the guppy f/o should get more since that greedy 400 capt has been sitting at the top of the pile for the last 5 years making all that money and blocking me from my rightful seat. He should have done the honorable thing and retired at 60. In fact, that money hog whale capt shouldn't get a penny. Right now, I'm not even sure if that rich airline pilot deserves a pat on the back the day he retires.

I guess we can call it whatever you would like. However, you need to ask yourself what your ultimate goal is for the short term but also the long term. Am I guessing wrong about the possible difference in the dollar amount?

After ten years of punishment, it simply comes down to principle. Regarding the 400, I have as much knowledge as you. Which is zippy. If $400 million is presented as the total retro/signing bonus or whatever you want to call it, I don't think it will be well received.

Contrary to your popular belief, I'm ASKING you to EXPLAIN your definition of "simple solution" regarding the topic, NOTHING more, NOTHING less. Reason being, as there have been more L-UA guys/gals flying through IAH, I've heard first hand several different "Simple Retro/Signing Solutions" ranging from A-Z while shooting idle time in the crew lounge.....thus asking you what your was. Nothing "cloaked" here.

If your apple-cart gets upset when being asked to explain 'something' you say, after throwing out a "vague/blanked response", I suggest being a bit more clear, or not getting your "pantalones" in a bunch when asked for clarification.

For the record, my stance ('defining' is the same) in figuring RETRO/SIGNING BONUS, or the new buzz-phrase "lump-sum" jives with yours. To "factor" straight off the W2 reports. The period to be factored would begin when the respective companies & their amendable dates per their CBA's "came and went". I agree that jEFF "let" the MEC's do his dirty work......"Here, you figure it out". It was HIS loan, now it's HIS work to 'pay it back' to us.
