sUAL 757's take it in the shorts twice on this TA. First because someone insisted on pay banding, we get guppie rates.

Then, again, because we get guppie rates, we get far less retro that we would have other wise.

Then further to add insult, after the first year, after the blended pay rates go away, and we go to specific 757 rates, we on the west coast, will take a pay cut, because again, someone decided we HAD TO HAVE PAY BANDING. West coast doesn't see any 767's, hence the pay cut.

With all that said, I am still leaning toward voting yes, becasue we have got to stop fighting each other, get the SLI done and move on.
If ever there was a reason to Vote NO.. you just did!
I agree, as a 756 FO (CAL Side), my pay raise is a joke and I'm losing 2 hard days off a month!

The 757's should be banded with the 767-2/3's.
Just like the 747 should be banded with the 380. (and MAYBE the 777).

This thing is a turd. We need to send it back to get fixed.
And mind you, (just my opinion).. but the notion that Voting YES will "stop fighting each other, get the SLI done and move on" will happen is a pipe dream.
If this passes with the majority of the CAL pilots Voting NO but enough of the UAL Pilots Voting Yes.. we will never be "unified".
There will be hatred for years.. everytime the company uses a "may" loophole to screw an exCAL Pilot, he will blame the United Yes Voters.

Just my opinion.

WHEN this gets Voted down..
Explain to me how sUAL parks their 75's and starts a 73 training program?
They can't (without it costing a BOATLOAD of money).

Again, all these things work in our favor. IF UAL tried to run split operations, it would be a nightmare worse than Summer 2012!
What do you think Wall Str and the BOD is going to say about Jeffrey then?
Our Stock is suppose to be in the 40's it keeps hovering in the high teens to low 20's.

Since they can't shrink UAL without shrinking Express, and since the TPA does not expire, and with age 65 retirements starting......

TONS!

Conclusion
"As you can see, the UAL TA exceeds the APA TA in several categories"

quoted from todays news letter!!!!

This is the best reason if there ever was one to vote NO!!!

So we, the largest airline in the world, exceed only "several" categories on our TA over bankrupt AA. YHGTBFK!!!!!!!!!

Do you think there will EVER be a breakdown of Yes vs. No votes by property? (UAL vs CAL)

IMO that information will never be released.

We get UAL trip trading which is going to make the CAL c02 reserve system seem like a vacation, we get a 16% b fund contribution after they merge the plans which can be sometime as late as 2014, we take a 3 hour reserve pay cut, a 2 hour line holder pay cut, lose 2 days of vacation, we get DAL - a butt-load until they get a new contact then's it's DAL - a ****load, almost 1/2 of what a UAL pilot is getting for retro, and you want to vote yes and move on? Are you retarded?

Just to keep things honest...the trip trading in the TA is not the current UAL trip trading. (Not that UAL's current system is anything to write home about.) This "seniority based" trading in buckets will be a new concept for all of us.

Also just keeping it honest: 16% to B fund would begin dec 1, 2012.
