Default LAX 756 now in BES

Looks like LAX 757-767 base is an option loaded for bidding in PBS, for now anyway....

Never heard any rumors about this position opening.

I noted that as well in the system bid screen.

I was pondering my options for the upcoming bid and perusing the IAH B756 bid packs for Feb. There was an awful lot of deadhead to the west coast, and a lot of Hawaii and transcon flying, so it may be a logical move!

The s-UAL 75/76 LAX base is at 30% reserve coverage. Plenty of beach/surf/boat time for guys on reseve. Gotta love sunny SoCal.

CCS is the end-state system for bidding and managing vacancy bids etc. In the not too distant future there will be a ton of equipment and base options in the drop down menu. This might have just been an IT test as I do not foresee LAX 756 on the upcoming s-CO system bid.

I'd agree with you but prior to each new base/equipment being opened on a bid, the wonderful CAL IT team would front-load the upcoming changes. Happened when LAX was originally rumored to be opening and now it looks like its happening again.

I'm at the schoolhouse and heard of the 756 BES this week. They want to do it, just not sure if it'll be prior/after SLI. Also mentioned was 777 SFO & IAD for the CAL side.

You can actually select the LAX 756 CA or FO as a biddable choice in the pull down menu to the left and it will allow you to save that choice in your system bid.

sCAL has guppy bases at ORD, LAX, and DEN with strong rumors of IAD and SFO. More rumors of sCAL 756 bases at LAX and IAD, and 787 at LAX. sUAL only has 756 and a Bus base at IAH.

Am I missing anything?

A ton of EWR - Europe flying is now being done by sUAL metal. Not sure if it's from the JFK base, but they certainly have a big presence in EWR. Don't know if the Airbus has increased flying from EWR or not!
