On United's Airline App addendum, there's a question that goes like this:
Have you:
A) Ever been convicted or is there now pending against you a misdemeanor or felony (civil or military charge);
B) Received deferred adjudication (even if your case was later dismissed);
C) Been part of any sort of diversion program in lieu of a conviction (even if your case was later dismissed);
OR
D) Paid a fine/ performed community service/ served any jail time?
Do they care about petty misdemeanor traffic tickets here in terms of the "paid a fine" aspect or is this all Misdemeanor or Felonies?
I'm probably reading too far into it, but am curious to how others answered.

Dude... You didn't fail UPT. That is not failing a portion of training. Everyone busts stuff in AF pilot training, and even if it was a "phase check" that isn't what they are asking. Unless you where grounded for a flyby or breaking a jet or tubed a Rated Checkride then that answer should be a no.
Now I have a decision to make.

Dude you are "Golden"! The pilot shortage that everyone has been talking about since the mid-80s is actually about to materialize, and you are sitting pretty regardless of any mistakes you made years and years ago. We all learn from our past mistakes; that's just human nature.
