Nothing and that is what is escaping some pilots. No matter how much you carry an airplane that should be fixed or skimp on fuel it will not make a dent in the overall picture.

MGT can affect the bottom line more in either direction drastically. Pilots can only have a large effect to the bottom line if an airframe goes down on their watch.

Be safe.

Government subsidies are given in many ways, not just direct ownership. Bailouts anyone? Even the railway labor act is an indirect rigging if the system.

Don't even get me started on limited liability, the root cause of undermining true free market.

It would be a difficult transition, but the product would be better and you'd probably have a much better job and dignity to go with it.

These awards are given to the airline that provides the most free travel to whatever entity is grading them.

United has the same list, just as long, for giving away free air miles to companies that rate other companies.

Wish I could edit that post on my phone. Last line sounded like a personal attack. When I mean "you," I mean as a collective whole.

Many Asian carriers can't staff their airlines. That's why there are contract jobs. They'd probably pay you well in the first year. Most of the people on this thread have a vast amount of expertise that would go over well and be recognized.

Everyone here knows an Asian carrier takeover will not likely happen. But the point is to draw contrast.

Don't need to. First, I'm not sure what an "acculade" is. Second, CAL lost money most of those years, so I'll just go with the 4 quarters prior to the merger.

You can have the award, I'll take the $$.
