However, it could lead to a Jeff created position as payback. The CAL MEC and later combined MEC should make sure ALPA dues money is not being used for this. If ALPA National is sponsoring the program then all ALPA airlines should share in the cost not just combined UAL pilots.

Ask everybody at the negotiating table how much negotiating capital was used to bring the CAL pilots up to industry standards. This capital could have been used to tackle the scope issue had it not been used for basic contract items.
