Default SFO Closed

SFO may likely be closed till sometime late tonight or tomorrow. If you are commuting or flying out of SFO, it might pay to check well ahead of time.

I have no idea when the runways will open. Asiana 777 crashed on landing. Much misinformation on news, pictures are very detailed and rules out some possibilities.

With ILS 28L inop with runway construction, guess they dragged it in over the rocks short of the runway.

Looks like it, now as said in the other thread, is the why.

28L & R in the last week have had their thresh holds displaced, construction, and all GS and VASI out. It will be interesting to see if that had any implications in the event.

Bay app constantly slowing you down, getting you high on app, with no GS does not help.

All speculation but looks eerily like engine flameout again. Who knows.

I'd be surprised if they couldn't at least take off on the ones soon.
