Default United Airline Apps

Anybody else get this email today in regards to having an ATP cert? I'm pretty sure it was just a generic email.

Due to amendment of 14 CFR 61.39 and 14 CFR 61.167, United Airlines now requires an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate as a minimum requirement for employment.
Applicants will need to possess an unrestricted ATP certificate to be considered for screening.
If you currently hold an unrestricted ATP, please login to your Airline Apps account and insure you have entered your ATP certificate number and date of issue under " My Certs & Ratings/Pilot Certificates".
Thank you,
Capt. C.V.

What is considered a restricted ATP? Is that what airlines are giving to FO's with the VFR circling restriction or is this the new FAA ATP? I got my ATP outside of my airline and have been told by the ADP's that it is unrestricted. Maybe this is simple and I've just been sleeping under a rock.

Everyone got it. Interviewed in April, turned down and got the email.

So if my ATP says "circ. approach- VMC only" on the back, does that mean it's restricted and I no longer meet the qualifications? This would be really disappointing.

That's a limitation, not a restriction. A restriction is for those who have an ATP with reduced time (new rules), so that these people don't waste everyone's time in the application process.

Don't sweat it. The Type you get at UAL for the 737 at least says the exact same thing.

Any other pool swimmers get it? Figure it's just a system wide notice since I still technically have a United app account.
