Maybe you should ask the UAL scabs. ;)

Sounds like you are the keyboard commando here...

No. Its because there were hundreds of Captain awards that were handed out the day before the SLI, and they have to get through those people. Even though the Award stated that anyone not in training had to be rebid, they didn't do

18% of the displaced SEA 777 FOs have bid CA on the snapshot.

Neither do we. We meet one hour prior to the 1st flight of the trip and then 45 minutes prior to each leg. Yes I know the black side just shows up at the jet. I've been told that's so the FOs can spend as little time with the scabs as possible.

Everything is on the WSI program, you have plenty of time to vpcheck weather and read the flight plan. There is no need to meet ahead of time, that's a throw back from the 1950s. CAL captains will be more then happy to discuss the flight planning and fuel loads, relax, lighten up and enjoy the new CAL/united way. The "black" side is full of nice ALPA guys that are happy to help you join the 20th century :-).

That's not a "vacancy bid". Those were not open positions. They can pick anything their seniority can hold, which is about everything except 777 or 747 Capt.

Seriously? That's probably the most unprofessional thing I've ever heard.

I like 45 min reports. After completing the flight planning, the first mrm is sent 20 min before departure.

Hats on beeyotches!

Pilot,

So let me get this straight? If you guys fly 3 legs in one day, you meet for 45+ mins in a debrief room to discuss the flight, for every leg? Just so I'm clear, you discuss everything in a "FAA mandated" briefing in a room, not in the jet, on subsequent legs.

If that's the case there is gonna have to be a new PBS command, avoid L-UAL Capt. LOL

45+ debrief? Fun times. Raunchy discussion required.
