CAL had mandatory hats for years and how many wear them? Maybe 20 percent on a good day.

Most by far of the CAL pilots wear hats. It isn't even close.

Because that's the company's policy Iceman...

You don't wear the Hat and Jacket in the summer and you wear it in the winter....do you understand what policy is?

Now stop humiliating our profession and put the hat and coat on, shine your nasty shoes, iron your shirt and try to act like an adult, just while you represent our profession...

then when you get home put on your cool leather jacket and go to the local Starbucks to show off your new Harley and beer gut....

As you shoot dirty glances at the other pilots who don't measure up, does your jaw ache? Are you on the Hat, Haircut and Shoeshine committee?

You lost me when you said humiliating and represent our profession. Our profession is a joke. We have been humiliated to the point that this is no longer a profession. The only thing I represent is the pilot sitting beside me.

Good one...original! Granted I take a small liberty from policy with the hat issue, obviously mgt does as well given the number of non hat wearers. CP's walk by daily nod and smile at the hats and the hatless.
You really need to learn to pick your battles friend.

I get a kick out the guys that are all wrapped up in the hats, yet wear pants that don't match the jacket, don't button the jacket etc.

The contract that doesn't match the responsibility, sacrifice, dedication or experience....

A navy guy felt compelled to justify himself to Tom Cruise... damn.


On another note... the guy I am flying with is already conniving ways to get comfortable with personal clothing pieces with the new uniform...

You can take the pilots from CAL, but you can't take the Continental out of the pilots...
