Default No more EWR mafia?

So with this new trip trading coming online can we assume the "lost boys" will have to find a new way to F over the rest of the group? I'm glad to see this finally come online after LCal mgt turned a blind eye

Won't they just clear a super senior guys schedule to hold trips until they can be doled out to the members?

That's what I was thinking..nothing to keep them from trading amongst each other

It's a group of guys running a computer interface program off cms. Grabs open trips in milliseconds. Before they even hit open time. Kind of like online stock day trading.

All 764 trips that dropped were picked up by same guys. Repos, charter, didn't matter. Nobody else stood a chance. They all claimed they were just fast fingers but there have been instances where one guy calls and says hey I'm about to call in sick so grab it. Like a 10 sec heads up. He calls in sick and it never hits open time. Same group of guys get it..

Buy in around 10 grand or up so I've heard.

Grievances filed. Company said nothing was going on. I believe our "Ask the pilot" bowers looked into it. Or was it ex asst cp hoffman.
Union said nothing they could do.

This is all hearsay because as everyone knows the first rule of fight club is you don't talk about Fight club..

small group of guys(from senior to very junior) screwing over the rest of us. Perhaps this will change

So now maybe the junior guys will clear the senior guys schedule. He will pick everything up and trade amongst the group to keep the availability as open as possible

The ringleader's name is on the early retirement list, maybe he realized the party is over.

There's always a way. And management will always turn a blind eye.

The current UA trade program uses a "captcha" type request to stop auto programs, plus it will be run every 4 hours, and trades in seniority order.

So hopefully this will make trades fairer.

Those turds should have all been terminated. Most of them are known and that kind of bad acting has a way of catching up with you someday.

This new seniority based trip trading will stop that behavior to a certain point. However, once a trip is within 12 hours of push, it's up for grabs to the fastest fingers, so once again the mafia will still have a certain amount of viability to grab trips before most of us.

And it wasn't just on the 757/767 fleet either. We CONSISTENTLY had the same 4 junior guys (around 85%) on the 737 fleet getting the premium 10 hour turns to PVR and other tropical destinations that I couldn't get at 15% in base.
