I didn't say unmotivated workers are to blame for any of the things you accused me of blaming them for....but they don't help either. And once again with the EWR and IAH thing well we will have to agree to disagree (IAD, SFO, ORD, they do have something to do with the UAL workforce). Mismanagement of airplanes and crew...what the hell does Attarian do again?? Is he just a passenger along for the ride?

Attention all United Pilots: Please stay away from the guppy. We at CAL do not want to fly with you guys. Thank you
You will be flying with "United Pilots" so get used to it and get over it

Hey Hoss,

No ignorance and pride here. I know Jeff sucks and so do his managers. "Your" people sucked too as evidenced by an entire narrowbody fleet being sent to the desert to be replaced by the likes of Go Jet and Aer Lingus being brought in to handle a long haul route. Unlike your allegiance to UAL management, I realize those from CAL management were horrible long before this merger.

That is what I tried to explain the long gone Gordon Bethune vibes to every UAL guy who came to me saying something like "we want to have your management". Quite frankly it is a pathetic reach to satisfy your anger on the on the assumption that everything would of gone better if Glenn's clowns would of run the show. Guess you miss Pete McDonald then, right?

So what I said was that UAL was not having these kinds of operational problems before the Jefftard took over. You maroons have to make that into a high drama soap opera.

It that simple UAL was not having these kinds of operational problems before the Jefftard took over. This is not a prom queen competition ladies it's a statement of fact.

While you guys and gals pontificate and cry over who's management was/is better here's my impressions:

Over the years at UAL Steven Wolf (yes hated by many/all) was actually the CEO who made UAL the global airline it was. He expanded the airline with new airplanes, wide bodies and a vision to fly everywhere. Sadly he also signed the first RJ agreements.

Dick Ferris wanted to go big but, purchased the Pacific flying and turned UAL from the world's largest domestic airline into an international airline. Sadly he wanted a "me to" after the Lorenzo destruction of CAL in 83 and set into motion the strike of 85, which changed the UAL pilot group forever.

Glenn Tilton? Well if it it weren't for his CFO (Karen somebody) fixing all the stupid mistakes of the various Sr. Managers (many forget the 1.3 bill fuel hedging debacle) UAL would have died awhile ago.

Now we have Jeff S. and what can be said about him? He makes all the former UAL CEOs look better than mediocre.

The best thing about the merger is this, both UAL and CAL pilots will have an airline to work for.

For all those ex-CAL pilots out there I do remember this saying, "you warned us!" Yep you were right.

Now pack it up and have a refreshing adult beverage. We're at the gate, brakes set.

Pilotgolfer:

Judging by the last couple of displacement bids, your right most did stay away from the 73. Thanks! Since in large part you guys are 15-20 years older than us, enjoy. I mean that. As for guys like yourself the next favor you could do for me.. ************

Airhoss:

Of course the guys running this place right now are beyond excuses. Headed by a CAL guy. No argument. However you imply its all CAL management's fault. That would be as you would describe it , maroonish.

Probably not happening anytime soon. Still in my 40s and yes, I will never downbid back to a guppy.

Enjoy the feeder flying. I'll stick to the big airplanes.
