It's this type of self-centered attitude -and I've seen it on both sides - that's going to screw us over.

Here's some advice: let go of the baggage. This is one pilot group and the sooner we start acting like one, the better.

There are plenty of us who wore a black uniform who are horrified by what management is doing to OUR FA's. Trying to turn this into an "us and them" issue is childish, counterproductive and just plain stupid.

Agree. The past is past. The LCAL pilots who have contributed to the lawsuit to set aside the SLI Award have wasted their money. Lets just move forward and not try to re fight the failed and painful battles of the past.

Was there not a lawsuit in the making pre-SLI by United pilots? They had over 20k at the ready with a retainer.

If the SLI had gone another way would you all be balking? Serious question.

Is there not a L-UAL list out there showing which L-CAL pilot has contributed to the list? Why is this? What can come from this?

Got to call a spade and spade here. I see no putting the past in the past and being one at all by both sides based on actions I am seeing.

With that said I accept the SLI, like it or not, and want to move forward.

Exactly what we need lower management getting involved. They try to micro-manage and control just about everything. Who's responsible for the softness of the TP in the flight ops bathrooms?

I think you need a brief history lesson. Suggest you look up what the L-UAL ALPA group did to the AFA at the end of the pilot strike. Talk about scab behavior.
UAL culture at its finest.

I suggest you learn the history of the event - the AFA was onboard with the pilots going back to work in '85. I can see why you are trying to hide the tendencies from your side. A little knowledge can go a long way. Ask around - many UAL and CAL guys still around you can learn the history from.

Revisionist history. There are any number of well documented sources that give Pat Friend's side of the story.

You guys are a funny bunch when it comes to your history when dealing with other unionized groups. AFA, the Fromtier pilots, Air Wisconson. Even your own, throwing 1,400 pilot under the bus, failed ESOP, not to mention the retirement debacle.

Now personally I really don't care if you guys want to whitewash your somewhat sorted history but blaming everything that happens at this airline on some fictional CAL mentality is really getting old.

sovt;
I highly recommend ignoring hopeSales. He is a complete @#nke$% 85 hire almost scab, kicked off the forum under at least 3 other monikers that I know of.

Just let it slide. He will show up again in a couple of months, under a different stupid name. He is the worst of the bad lot on this forum, from either side.

Ignore the Wa$^%7nkers, and move forward. It seems like over 90% of those who I work with, from the black team, have done so. Hopefully the blue team has as well. And I am originally from team blue.

This has all be discussed and as you indicated is well documented. It's time you present evidence of what you claim for all to see - you can learn/teach in the process. The ESOP did fail and problems with the retirement plan for the pilots was due to poor leadership.(you had JP - that happens) - both these events demonstrate that we are pilots and not management and when we put our money on the table management will steal it.

No whitewash here - just you trying to say the UAL guys are just as bad as the CAL types.
