Vacancy Snapshot

643 Total vacancies with all the movement on this snapshot.

Can we handle this training? This is a MONTHLY bid.

We can't even handle a normal payroll, vacation, and PBS!

The concentration of scabs on the 787 is unreal

Brought to you by the UAL negotiators who wanted to protect their precious 747-400 flying

The CAL negotiators didn't even have a fence in their original proposal.

Now, the only growth WB aircraft is fenced to keep LUAL guys out!

Genius move UAL negotiating team!

True, but when the fence drops, the LUAL pilots will be able to come in with nice seniority because the fence artificially makes the equipment go more junior than it otherwise would.

It all washes out in the end.

On the other side of this argument, a huge number of scabs have been "fenced off", and if you don't want to fly with them, don't bid Sparky. I don't consider this a bad thing.

The law of unintended consequences.

I wish PBS had an Avoid Scab command.

Am I looking at the wrong thing? The vacancy bid only had a handful of open places to bid. Where is this 643?

Beware the Snapshot!!!!

It appears as though this snapshot shows the results with Maximum Backfilling!!!! Previously they have all shown only mandatory backfilling. When you consider what the Bulletin shows for minimum staffing levels for some fleets/seats (IE 11 backfills to IAH 737 Cap when minimum shows they can have 60 leave) I don't think this snapshot is worth the PDF it is written on.

So, I imagine there will be a correction coming out once it is discovered.

Good catch

Yet at that point 24 airplanes will be fully staffed
