Default A change we can all like

So there I was looking at my trips in MySchedule and what a surprise! As everyone has been begging for, the hotel pickup times are now listed for each layover.

While I didn't find asking the transportation driver our pickup time to be any great inconvenience in the grand scheme of life, this is a nice change I can like.

It looks like, on my schedule, the pickup times are loaded for the international trips. I have 2 CDG with pickup times listed in the transport provider section. However, 2 domestic, BOS & JFK, same as always, nothing for pickup.

They are clear as day on my schedule. All locations with a transportation service show the time of pickup. The locations with a hotel shuttle providing the service don't have a time as they usually run on a schedule at set times.

Sure does indicate that the company has one or more people lurking on forums like this and maybe even providing content, controlling content and direction to suit their needs. FBN/TN?

Default They're in there for March

I was confused yesterday night when I got to the hotel and I pulled up CCS on my phone and didn't see the pickup time. It looks like the company didn't add the pickup times for the remainder of February, but all my March pairings show the pickup times and details. I hope that helps.

It doesn't hurt when alpa puts out a message saying don't go looking for pickup times as the company wants. Alpa suggested gauging how long you think the drive to the airport should be, add 45 min and show in the lobby at that time. Worked perfectly, almost.

I agree but when you have mixed crews(reserves, bunkies and dual crews) from different id's and domiciles having one reference time solves a lot of problems. Have you ever gone back to the hotel to pick-up a crew-member?

Company recently had a problem in AMS where the bunkie had a layover at a different hotel - he was supposed to walk over to main crew hotel to join the crew. We had delayed flights because nobody told them and the main crew thought he would join at the airport. Company changed it to have van pick up at both hotels. Guess what, they would determine their own pickup time and nobody informed the main crew. Main crew would leave them at the hotel. The company blamed the pilots for this snafu. Yes, FSAP's were written.

The point is, it's far easier for the company to publish a pickup time and pickup location in the same place on the id's for all to see.

If a simple fix is not desired and pick up times are not published then caveat emptor. No skin off my back.
