Default Who uses Crew Companion?

Years ago as a junior FO I used Crew Companion. As I got more senior the usefulness diminished especially when we got a useful Calendar with trip data embedded and an easily printable format that essentially mimicked Crew Companions popular format. Now that CCS is the new game in town I was frustrated at having a poorly printable calendar and having the trip information all over the place.

Anyways, long story short I just subscribed to the new Crew Companion web based service and all I can say is: "Wow!!"

I highly recommend anyone who finds CCS to be cumbersome give the 60 day free trial a run. Below is a screen shot of my last trip. It would also show detailed crew name information, but I didn't expand that part since it has file numbers as well as names.

Try CCSmax with iCal. Does the same thing with pictures of crew. Then you can iCloud it to your iPad and iPhone.

+1 for Crew Companion! Great product and support. Tom has always responded to questions within a day (usually within the hour). Couldn't be happier with the product.

Never heard of ccsmax, but take a look at the respective web sites and tell me who you'd want to do business with.

+1 for Crew Companion. As above, Tom is great and gives fanatical tech support. Every year I've found a trade or made a schedule shift with his program that pays for itself in the resulting schedule management and trading functions. Simply the best.

You owe it to yourself to give it a try. Insanely quick turnaround for tech support

Does Crew Companion play well with CCS so far? CCS MAX has been good for the sCAL side for many years, but I'm always looking for whatchamathingies that makes my life easier and/or enhances my laziness.

Flightcrew iLog is way better. Fantastic app, and no typing in passwords over and over.

Crew Companion is excellent. I have tried CCS Max and there is no comparison. Its 60 days free. You'd be stupid not to try it. It makes CCS and CCS Max look like kids programmed it.

Crew Companion is a fully function trip trading system. Its more than just printing schedules as Joe showed. You can tell it to pick up or drop certain trips and then it will watch and alert you as the come in and out of trading as well as doing all of the trip trading on your behalf.

To give you an idea of how powerful this software is, on the UAL side back when it came out guys that were not using it were complaining that they couldn't get trips that came into open time because other pilots were "cheating" and using Crew Companion (formerly called eTripTrader).

They have a staff of 6 full time engineers, customer support, and sales. Tom answers his emails within minutes usually.

Comparing Crew Companion to CCS Max is like comparing an iPad to an etch-a-sketch.

A lot of the CA's I've flown with use CC and it looks awesome, IF you're a line holder. As a junior guy on reserve though it doesn't appear to be as functional, especially for the price. Is anyone on reserve using it? What am I missing?

I use CC and CCLite.

As a reserve maggot it USED to be a useful tool for determining ones status WRT trips in open flying and FIFO. However CCS screwed all that up. Well, the companies complete lack of transparency and planning screwed that up.

I just received an email from Crew Companion which claims they've made significant inroads to open time trip trading and on other fronts within the program. Time will tell.

I like the program. It easily paid for itself with just a few successful aggressive pick ups. I anxiously await to see how Tom fixes the CCS problems.
