Default United Pay Scale Accuracy

Do the posted pay scales on APC reflect the 8.5% January 2014 pay bump? In the "QuickTake" there's a note that says that the UAL profile was updated in February, but I'm not sure if the pay scales reflect the 8.5%.

I'm assuming that the future contractual raises of 3/3/3% are hard and fast and not tied to profit sharing?

And finally.......can a new-hire expect to hold any of the large widebody aircraft in EWR at the start of their second year on property (B777, B767-400, etc.)? If so, how long before getting off reserve? Realistically what kind of monthly credit can a guy expect while sitting reserve as well as holding a line? Do they use reserves above min guarantee? Can a junior line holder credit 90 hrs and still have 15-16 days off by doing long haul trips?

I appreciate any and all questions that any of you might be able to answer. Thanks for your time.

Yes. Yes. No. Anybody's guess. Reserve: Min. Line: 85'ish. No. Not likely.

They are mostly correct... The Captain rates from 757 down to 737-500,700 are incorrect. The widebody rates are correct.

Whackmaster,

It sounds like you are trying to budget/ use future raises or bigger equipment to make a budget plan work.

Having been hired in 1998 when we had 3 years to upgrade to Captain, I made 767 F/O in six months, and then contract 2000. I thought life was great and I was set. The past decade has proven that plans don't always happen they way you think or plan.

So my advice would be to use the narrow body pay as your baseline for the first 5 years. If you are able to bid a wide body (the big ones- not the 767-300) great but think of it as icing on the cake, and don't count on that bigger paycheck. Besides, there isn't much difference between wide body reserve (which you be for a long time) and narrow body line holder.

Reserve guarantee is 73 hours. Line holder guarantee is 70 hours.

Just speaking from experience.

There is a report update, or similarly worded button. Send a note to the site-masters with the correct info, and they will fix it.

Agree whole-heartedly with C11DCA. Thought I had the tiger by the tail. After 9/11, close to the tail, but didn't smell as nice.
