Right? Because I had resolved myself to thinking I would be on reserve for the next two years.

I don't think you are going to get bumped anytime soon as an EWR 76T FO. They have increased the manning to 200 and this vacancy bid left 48 slots open for new hires. But then again, who knows what could happen around here.

I would agree if there was also 50 76t captain bid as well. The numbers just don't add up. Only time will tell and I will have loads of it when I go back on reserve!! :D

Just remember we need 2 FO's for every Captain. Regardless, it would be nice to hold a line, even for a month or two :D. H@ll if it doesn't work out I will still be smiling. Great job! Great life! No one shoots at you when you takeoff or land.

With the sudden movement of New Hire Training, all the chatter at the Training Center about being prepared for the Fall that followed the visit from the VP of Ops saying the Manpower Management has amended its "plan" and now the "rumors" from other threads on "right sizing the bases".....just seems from an observers point of view that change (movement) is in the air.

Or 30+ green lasers coming up at night while on short final in Cairo… ;) Don't miss that at all.

Exactly. That's why we need 50 more captains. Right now it's 48 captains and 105 FO. We have another 100 between new hires and pilots transferring in:D
