Steve,
Hate to ask this (kinda like asking if you checked the gear indication bulb), but when she imputed and saved her bids was she forwarded to a request completed page? If all else fails, don't bother with the company, call you LAX LEC rep asap. As mentioned above, post on UALpilotsforum. More knowledgeable people on there. Best of luck. Not going to grieve it as it's fine that she didn't get it now. But am very curious if something is screwed up and she's being shut out of any narrow->wide upgrade. |
Steve,
Whether she is good or not, if the bid is invalid someone needs to be notified. There might be others who have been wronged. |

Yep. Did a whole bunch of bids (why not, right?) after the wipe out. I noticed it myself and even posted here about the 'redo your bids.'
Attached is a screen shot of what was in place by 10/07 and should have been snapshotted on 10/08, 10/09 and 10/10 yet she wasn't on any of them. I checked them each day to make sure they were saved and still there. So, everything was perfect on our end, as far as we knew. That's what so weird. Can you have too many 100% bids? When she got the LAX lateral, she had four domiciles in her bid, all 37 F/O and she was awarded her 3rd choice in the list. What's different now? |

Steve - based on what I see in her picture, she would have gotten Denver 737 fo, which was her first choice, and the system would never have processed her ord 777 fo bid because she could have held the first line in the vacancy bid.
Yeah that's what I get from looking at that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Steve,
You have questions that need to be answered. The company might not be responsive. Email her LEC reps and Cullen B. |
Did you check to see if she showed up as Denver 737 FO in snapshots? I am not sure if secondary vacancies get processed during the snapshots, but that would be my first guess. Good luck, let us know what you find out.

voluntary furlough in 09 who came back in 02/14 to the 37 F/O in EWR. Awarded a lateral via bid 14_11 to LAX with an effective date of 11/14 but was activated two months early.

8-D-2-a "When a Pilot is awarded an assignment through vacancy bidding and such award does not move him from a lower-numbered band to a higher-numbered band in accordance with Section 8-D-1-d, he may be ineligible to be awarded any other vacancy for twenty-four (24) months. " So maybe your wife was fine until she lateraled to the new base. Because this was a "new vacancy within the same band" she can't bid another FO, even in a higher category. At least that's what they will probably tell you. |
