Laterals do not incur a freeze.

There is something fishy here or some other reason we are not seeing. It does seem to me that she should have gotten the new award. Agreed, call you LEC reps. Have them go to the CP and run it down.

I would like to thank all the SFO Fifi FOs that bid out and allowed this relatively new hire to be based at home. :)

Ord 737 CAP just got a big dose of senior!! The BES increased 23% with all 15-03 awards coming in above 50%!! Not so for SFO, where the junior 15-03 award came in at 91%. Interesting. And look at all those 76T Ord FO awards. No displacements there anytime soon.

744 awards + 85 unfilled bids = 6.6% of pilots moving or could have moved base or equipment.

Glad to see some new pilots could escape from New York.

Could the fact that she was furloughed off the 320 but came back to the 37 and went through full training earlier this year have any effect?

We were under the impression that as long as you moved up in fleet or seat, there was no training seat lock.

It's sort of how I thought things would pan out. Ord went more senior since it was an original LUAL base and they finally got to bid into that seat. Most of the LCAL guys that bid ORD early couldn't hold Capt. in a LCAL base thats why they went to ORD and SFO. It's like whats happening on the 320 in IAH. It's going very junior since I don't think many senior LUAL guys want to come to IAH when they can just stay home! There is almost a 15% split between the 737 & 320. That may change if the % gets to skewed!! I know for me personally I'm not switching unless it gets into the 20-25% since I hate training and like the 737 flying.

No.

There are three types of freezes, "equipment training" freezes, "new equipment" freezes and "bidding" freezes. The "upgrade in category" section ONLY pertains to "equipment training freezes", not bidding or new equipment freezes.

There are limitations on bidding. It isn't a free-for-all.

So if you are on a "bidding freeze" the "upgrading to a higher category" doesn't matter.

According to the contract, since she changed categories from 320 to 737 and they are in the same equipment band, she is on a 24 month "bidding freeze". At least that's my guess.
