It doesn't mean you'll get a call. Many, MANY people get the M&G. There are probably at least a couple thousand that have done them this year, if I were to guess. Like mentioned above, if all goes well you'll get a rec.

I should have been more clear. My apologies.

After the M&G and after the rec from the Chief Pilot, how long does it take to get the e-mail for Hogan assuming I'm a well qualified applicant?

Wish I knew. I know plenty of people, myself included, that have have heard crickets.

Took me over a year to hear back. In the mean time I did a job fair, and heard back in 2.5 months.

United generally attends OBAP and WIA. I might also recommend signing up with FAPA, and they'll keep you apprised of the upcoming job fairs and who's in attendance.

The email for the Hogan IS an interview invite.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the WIA and OBAP websites, I'm unwilling to support organizations that look to "empower" based on race or gender... this is not something I can support, especially since said peoples seem to have considerable pro-hiring bias in the industry already and benefit from legal discrimination. We're all humans and all have our defects...to prefer pilots based on pre-determined genetics seems horrific, especially considering the safety sensitive nature of our job functions.

Hopefully United will attend a FAPA or AeroCrewSolutions conference sometime soon. In the meantime, I'll wait my turn...

Is it worth it to schedule yourself an appointment with the CP/Asst CP and try and go that route? Ballsy, yes I know.

If you're not being escorted by a UAL pilot? No. They probably wouldn't talk with you or even allow you to schedule it.
