Welcome aboard!

Bring on the 756 in EWR!! Y'all will be on Reserve for a little longer but the fleet is awesome best flying you will ever do and flying you will never see again.

Interview date

Hi Larry. When did you interview? Trying to forecast out a class date. Thanks

Great news!! Any idea of what the breakdown of the class is? i.e. 121, military, TPIC etc

LibertyPilot 01-13-2015 10:48 AM

Congrats! Wish I was there as well.

Larry, welcome to the insanity. Unfortunately, I am scheduled to be out of training before you get here but if we meet on a layover somewhere, I will buy you a beer.

Greg

Thanks, everyone.

I got the call as I was packing up to leave the hotel and posted in a hurry and forgot to include my interview info...

I interviewed on November 13 so just over 2-1/2 months from interview to class date.

No breakdown on the makeup of the class other than 21 new hires and one returning pilot.

I'd certainly like to fly the 767 again, I'm already typed, but think I'm probably going to bid 737 1st, A320 2nd, and 756 3rd for the faster seniority progression. I'm 49 so hopefully I'll be senior enough to hold one of the 737 slots. Hey, I have a total of 12+ years combined on the DC8 and DC9 so I'm sure I'll eventually be able to figure out the 737s overhead panel! :)

A 737NG will be a piece of cake compared to Douglas Commercial. Just remember you're flying the ailerons/elevators not their trim tabs.

A good friend/coworker will be in that class as well. He is a corporate guy who has been flying a Challenger 300 for many years. He has somewhere between 7,500 and 8,000 hours TT.
