Craziness!!!

Plus AA has no airplane on that pay band and nobody expects anyone to order the 747-8 or A-380 in the U.S.

Many predict that Boeing will shut the 747 line soon...

How did they end in that predicament? Was something agreed to? Promises made?

No idea. But that guarantees contract passage, IMO.

But not until they build two for Presidential travel.

I believe they want 3 aircraft for the presidential air lift.

Got the details onthe contract they passed from a pretty knowledgable AA captain just the other day. At the end of it I was pretty surprised at the holes in the contract their management wanted for the pay raise. I wasn't sure of passage after hearing all that but...I guess the money was too good.

In some seats the money is that far off the DAL rates which those guys clearly make up and even exceed with their PS. It's remotely possible WE might even make up the gap with PS but we'd have to turn some serious numbers.

How they come up with the 11 hour three days is their trip rig is a rolling rig so if you sit more than 24 you won't be paid for calendar day. As I read not a lot of those trips but still...it's possible.

If they sit you longer then you don't get paid?

It wasn't the pay rates. They had already holed themselves into a cost neutral binding arbitration if they voted it down. This wasn't a regular section 6 where they had their "regular" leverage to use

How are their work rules?

There are little to no work rules. I will continue to fly 3 days and redeyes that are worth 10 to 11 hours as we have NO CALENDAR DAY PAY.

Even with our delta + 7% payrates a united and delta pilots will have a higher W2 at the end of the year.

I apologize to all united guys for us voting thus turd in. When your management starts section 6 and points to our subpar contract and how it lasts til 2020, please feel free to be angry.

I'll send you an address where you can mail the check....

Anyway no worries. Its just how it goes and we all understand there are bigger factors that play into it. God help us all.

What kind of craziness is that?

Less crazy then our industry leading 380 rate.
