New AA contract passed

747 in a higher pay band than the 777 and 787.

What kind of craziness is that?

Oh don't get me wrong. I wouldn't trade our contract for theirs for anything. Of course their contract only passed because all the LUAL pilots who voted for it. :)

You thought our SLI was fun to watch....

Is it true there is no min day pay? Like if they have a 30+ hour two night layover, they get no pay for the day they don't fly?

They have a few gems like that apparently, i.e. big holes in the work rules. It appears that there were competing factors as well as a rule that basically said if they voted it down, they had to negotiate a "cost neutral" contract, meaning if they did get an improvement, it would come from some other benefit.

At least that's what I understand from reading through their posts.

And ya the SLI over there is going to be a big fight. It will make us look like the gentlemen we are.

:eek:How did they end in that predicament? Was something agreed to? Promises made?

What did the vote look like?

...nevermind I found it..."Passed 66-34, 94 percent voter turnout"
