Default Starbucks on Delta

Apparently the management of Delta doesn't understand how good our Texas blend is. Thank goodness we got rid of that Starbucks crap! Why would anybody want the most popular coffee in the world on their airplanes??

I can't even drink the swill they call coffee on our airplanes. It's absolutely disgusting.

It's almost like someone had this idea before...

I miss that coffee. It almost made commuting tolerable. Almost.

Coffee on my flights are horrendous. I have to be desperate to take a swig. I usually bring my instant as it tastes much better.

BTW, jetBlue served Dunkin Donuts which makes MY commute tolerable! lol

16 years ago, we had Starbucks on UAL airplanes.

Then one day, I got a cup...weak! I called back to the cabin and asked if I could get another...this one was kind of weak.

"Sorry; we have to make it half-strength now, because some people complained it was too strong."

Really?

Strong coffee can be made weak...just add water.

But you can't make weak coffee strong.

Shortly thereafter, the Company switched to "Galapagos Islands' Best," or some other forgettable brand.

Cost saving, IE; "bean counter brand"

I'm fairly confident that they're saving tons of money with El Heffe Cafe, because very few peeps will ever ask for a second cup and frequent fliers won't ask for a first. They save on water (and its weight carried), the coffee itself, cups, sugar, cream, stir sticks and on and on. After all, .0001 cents times a zillion is enough for more bonuses.

I used to drink a cup a leg, perhaps two on a transcon. Now I buy an SBux in the terminal. Call me a weenie or a coffee snob, but our coffee is so bad that its embarrassing. Look no further than AAPL, people are willing to pay a premium for quality.

Is that the coffee that the bean goes thru a Civet cat first?
