Living on the peninsula is pricy. You might consider something cheaper in the east bay. You can ride the BART Train out there - it goes right to the airport and there are a lot of places near the BART line where you can find a room to rent. Of course be careful when venturing into the east bay. Some area's can be a scary place to live - do your research. In the good parts of the east bay you will probably be able to find a room to rent for $800/mo

The new thing is to go to the emp lot and look for unlocked cars and just rack out in the back seat. Much cheaper than a Crashpad.
