CP Meet & Greet

I have a "Meet & Greet" this week. I am planning on wearing a suit and bringing my current resume and a copy of my airline app. Anything else I should do or bring?

Also, if all goes well and I receive a recommendation from the Chief Pilot. Does that carry more weight than a standard recommendation?

I wore my full uniform and had just a single copy resume. That's it. Was in and out in 5 minutes or so. Yes, they carry weight.

You wore your pilot uniform? To an interview setting?

CP Meet & Greet

US Airways insisted on it (wearing full uniform to actual interview). I think they are the only ones.

Sure did. It's not an interview setting like that where you're required to wear a suit. I was told to stop by before starting a trip. How most people I know have gone.

Which base are you doing it in?

I brought a few copies of my resume but needed only one. I wore a suit and went in on a day off. I was told to wear a suit by the flight manager who set it up for me. He specifically told me not to wear my uniform. Just my experience.

Although exactly how much weight seems to be undetermined.

But STRAIGHT from the guy did mine, it DOESN'T carry more weight than a job fair.

I did too. As well as guys that went ahead of me that day, and guys waiting to go after me that day.

To add to what you said, BK talked to our new hire class and the topic of hiring came up (shocking right?). He made it seem that unless you are the needle in the haystack, job fairs do not give you points and internal rec's do not carry more weight than external rec's now. So with that said, I would not be surprised to hear meet and greet's carry little weight now compared to what they used to be. But with that said, the more face time one can get the better.
