Training timeline

This has been discussed piece-meal in some of the class specific threads but I am giving it is own thread here.

For those who are in, or have recently been in class, what has the timeline looked like?
- Break after Indoc? (State which AC)
- What is the schedule once out of Indoc? IE ground,FTD, #of sims?

Thanks in advance. It will help all us awaiting class!

I'm on the 756 and waited only 5 days to start training after BI. Others in my class on same equipment are waiting as long as 42 days. Not sure about 737 or Airbus bit I think it's pretty quick. Training is 5 weeks from start to finish. Ftd starts after day 2 and goes for 6 sessions before the written test.

Airbus- 2 days off between indoc and training. 5 on/2 off for the next 5 weeks. 3 day break between QLOE and starting IOE. Be advised, it changes all the time and it's tough to gauge what your breaks will be no matter the airframe. Good luck and welcome!

This is really the only advise that matters.

I'm sure no one is trying to pin down their schedule, none the less, it is good to hear what people's experiences have been... To have some sort of range of possibilities.

3-45 days off after BI. Depends on AC. Sheraton in IAH.

Thx, Shifty.

I remember mainline jumpseaters showing us some kind of 73 training app...does the company use an app for training in addition to cbt's? Or could that have been something someone developed?

Any suggestions for 73 study materials?

EWR 756 Feb 17 class.
12 days off between Indoc and a/c training.
Waiting to hear anything about IOE.

For my 7 April Indoc class - Many of the folks doing follow on training in Denver started the week following completion of indoc with a number starting a week later (1 756/15 320s). The other five of us going to training in Houston in the 737 are waiting 12-19 days (paid!).

All of us Houston types are doing at least some of our sims elsewhere (either MIA or ATL). I'm doing my first 18 calendar days in HOU (5 days on, 2 off) up through my last FTD (fixed cockpit). Then I go to ATL for five days and my first five FFS. Then I return to HOU for my last four FFS. IOE follows soon thereafter, although you have the option of three days off either immediately before IOE or just afterwards.

Don't know how much overflow our 756/320 bubbas are getting, but they can be sent to either MIA or Las Vegas.

All of the 737 study materials and CBTs are available on your company supplied IPad and/or the Company's internal website so I wouldn't worry about trying to get it prior to your aircraft assignment.
