When was the last time there was a vacancy of any kind in DEN?

Management knows they don't need them. They will soon close 76T Den, and since all the DEN 76T FOs can hold DEN 737 Capt, it will resemble a sinking ship with rats hanging on to the masts. Add in some more A320 bumps and you have the perfect seniority storm. Denver is the new Seattle. You'll see displacements....not vacancies. And that doesn't even consider a possible TK relocation!!! Can you imagine the carnage of TK guys coming back to their DEN line bids? That would just ice the cake.

Is there hope for it to happen even if it's not officially in the bid?

If you look at the Bulletin you can see that they can have 11 guys leave SFO 737 FO before they would have to backfill (218 Max versus 207 min) Keep in mind they "can" backfill up to the max, so if one person leaves the seat they have the right to backfill that loss. Hopefully for your case they would exercise that right and backfill anybody that leaves.

Based on the number of bids out on the West Coast on this vacancy I would suspect that it is very likely they will be backfilling losses from the 737. Not sure what your seniority stance is relative to others that are trying to get West, but this bid should create a good deal of movement. Remember now that you are on the line and can bid, they can't have an "unfilled" bid to SFO 737 FO without you first getting the bid (as long as you bid for it)

So what new route are they opening in SanFran with all these 787 guys coming in? Bangkok?

Hasn't Manila already been announced? I'd guess that CDG would go to the 78.

Nothing. Like zero so this bid is head scratcher. Manila is an Internet legend based on Filipino news article. Also talk of Auckland, but appears company is content with good old Star Alliance coverage. Only thing official is new Sparkies in Bubbaland going S America. After 25 there is a significant pause in deliveries.

When company announced S America w/Sparkie it stated that IAH flying would cover all new deliveries this year. Not sure how we can do anything more West Coast until post 25 deliveries start.
