HT89,

IMO, I wonder if any Houston Airbus first officers will get a (secondary) pump. With only a total of 45 to 50 FO's getting displaced, over three rounds, I expect the company will stop sending the eight or so new hires a month there and just absorb the additional first officers. The next large narrowbody bid with West Coast Airbus opportunities will likely draw at least 15 first officers out of Houston anyway.

As a junior West Coast commuter into Houston, I wouldn't mind positive space commuting until I can get based at home, I just don't see the company wanting to shell out for a situation that will right itself pretty quickly. Obviously, the captain numbers are quite different

According to Howard's message, the numbers include attrition until the summer of 2017. So they have calculated how many will leave and they aren't bumping those people. That's why its only 150 Captains instead of 210.

Glenny, since we're both 45, what's your last four of your SS# start with? I'm 7XXX. Not sure they use birth month, but I'll be 46 late July. Just curious to see who'll get first pick of iron.

I turned 45 in February so you're the grand old man so far. Although I know we have a least one furlough returnee. I live in TUS and mainly looking for fastest way to one leg commute. I do have the option of commuting from PHX as well but not preferred.
