there are a ton of restaurants across the street from TK to include sub shops, pizza, burgers, bbq, deli, McD, iHop, panda, etc… and the hotel shuttle will drive to the open air mall that has a ton of bars/restaurants, shops. Cheery Creek has Shotgun Willies, Target, a crappy burger place, and a Friday's thats within safe walking distance at night… thats about it.
The Cherry Creek Mall which is a few blocks away and has a ton of restaurants, far more than the crap around TK. Its a very nice area. Also if you want to go for a run or long walk you can do so safely.
There is no comparison between the two areas.

Was walking from the TK to the DoubleTree or whatever other hotel on the west side of Qubec.
With MLK running right by there, it adds validity to the Chris Rock joke.
I'd MUCH rather stay at the HI on CO Blvd ANYDAY than by Stapleton. Plus there's easier (staggering distance) to some of the local "arts".
In the summer on Wednesdays, head up the road to the Elway's cougar fest.

Hey if IHOP and McD's are your thing then ask to stay around TK instead of Cherry Creek.

There's nothing to do around DENTK, unles you are really into GNC or Subway.
Cherry Creek has amenities within walking distance. Movie theaters, a big mall, restaurants, Shotgun Willies, Target, etc. If you're only spending 4 hours a day at TK and 20 at the hotel, there might as well be stuff to do.
