Default Unused Hotels

In talking with an Express pilot, I learned that they have the ability to request accommodation in unused company scheduled hotel rooms based on availability. Sounded like a great benefit to me, but it was the first time I had heard of that. Anybody have experience with anything like this at UAL?

It has been done in the past but with the merger, things might have tightened up a bit. Ask you friendly FOSR (DOR for the Lcal types).
