Default Playing the "what if" game....

If I were hired to UAL in '07, could I hold Denver on anything?

Where would I be on the 320 in various bases?

I ask because my long term goal was UAL, but life happened and ended up at jetBlue. I like it, I'm upgrading to a line in the A320, but I wonder what life would be like if I had tried to get to UAL in '07.

You could have hold Denver now on the 737 or A320

Beechnut,

These guys are not correct. I was in the first 2007 class at United when I left JetBlue. You could have held Denver in 2008 prior to the furloughs, but you would be about 200 #s away from a 737 or A320 in Denver today.

You would have been furloughed for 3 years and now you'd be making about 140 an hour on 737/320/756/767. You can hold any base on a narrow body and be a line holder. You would barely be a line holder on 756 in any base (except Denver).

I've played the what if game from the other side of your coin. The furlough sucked, plain and simple. Life is better now. JetBlue is gonna get bought and you will be fine.

I was an Aug 2006 hire...I still talk to my sim partner who is still in right seat of Bus. I haven't checked recently but I think most of my classmates are Line holding 190 Captains or perhaps reserve on the Bus.

I think so too. Probably by a company that is looking for more Airbuses, E190s and that just pulled out of JFK. If there is such a company.

I have nagging fear that you have broken the code.

(And yes, I'm also former B6.)

I highly doubt UAL will go through another merger.

I see the 25 used A319s coming faster than original planned an order for 50 A321 Neos and
An order for 100-125 CS 100 and 300 series , cheap deal by the Canadians

And a few more 777-300s since they are cheap for now

Close to 985 or so total frames by 2020 with close to 250 WBs total

375... 737s
250 A319, 320,321,350s
51 767s
62 757s
10 747
50 787s
85 777s
100 C series Canadian
